WEP is an encryption scheme, based on the RC-4 cipher, that is available on all 802.11a, b and g wireless products. WEP uses a set of bits called a key to scramble information in the data frames as it leaves the access point or client adapter and the scrambled message is then decrypted by the receiver. Both sides must have the same WEP key, which is usually a total of 64 or 128 bits long. A semi-random 24 bit number called an Initialization Vector (IV), is part of the key, so a 64 bit WEP key actually contains only 40 bits of strong encryption while a 128 bit key has 104. The IV is placed in encrypted frames header, and is transmitted in plain text.

Traditionally, cracking WEP keys has been a slow and boring process. An attacker would have to capture hundreds of thousands or millions of packets? a process that could take hours or even days, depending on the volume of traffic passing over the wireless network. After enough packets were captured, a WEP cracking program such as Aircrack would be used to find the WEP key.

Superb WiFI hACK tRICK IS BACK 2012

  1. Install Commview, then paste the included “cv.exe” to the directory you installed it to (c:program filescommviewwifi)
  2. Open commview and install the commview drivers to a card. It should prompt you about your card and than automatically install the driver. It is important that you have 1 card that works with commview or else the rest of the tutorial will not work
  3. Go to the “rules” tab and check “enable advanced rules”
  4. Type in the box labled formula “tods=1 and dmac=FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF” then type a name for your formula in the box labled name and than click add/edit.
  5. This should now appear in the upper box. if it is not checked, check it.
  6. Click settings>options>memory usage and turn maximum packets in buffer to 20000 (max). If it prompts you to restart it, do so. There are three funnel looking things on the main menu bar of commview. uncheck all but the first one (one labled “capture data packets”)
  7. Click the play button and scan for the network you want to crack.
  8. Once you have found it, drag the channel menu down to the desired channel and click capture.
  9. Now using your other adapter thats not capturing, connect to the password protected network. when it asks you for key, type in something random, i used 1234567890.
  10. It should now say connected with limited connectivity.
  11. Go back to your commview menu and click on the packets tab. you should see a couple of packets.
  12. Looking at the protocol column, you should see a couple labled IP/UDP, ARP REQ, and a couple of others. Right click on any packet labled “ARP REQ” and than click send packet, and selected. A mini menu should now appear.
  13. On the mini menu, change packets per second to 2000, and rather than 1 time(s), click continuously, and Then click send.
  14. Go back to the main commview window and go to the rules tab, and uncheck the rule you made.
  15. You are now injecting and you should see the number of packets rising really fast.
  16. Save the packets, you have to save every 20000 packets, click file, save and than in the save dialogue, remember where you saved it, and instead of saving it as an ncf file, save it as a “dump” .cap file.
  17. Extract the Aircrack-NG folder.
  18. open aircrack-ng-GUI that can be found in the map “bin” and select the files you saved, and than click launch.
  19. Look at the list of IV’s you have, and select the network you want to crack , there should be a list of a lot of them, chose the one with the most IVs.
  20. You are connected to your neighbor’s Wi-Fi. Buy him some nice gift as he just let you use his 4Mbps connection :p

How To Crack Wire Less WEP password

What You need to succeed-
  • A compatible wireless adapter—This is the biggest requirement to hack any wi-fi network. You’ll need a wireless adapter that’s capable of packet injection, and chances are the one in your computer is not.
  • A BACKTRACK CD-Download yourself a copy of the backtrack CD and burn it, or load it up in VMware to get started.
  • A nearby WEP-enabled Wi-Fi network. The  wep signal should be strong and ideally people are using it, connecting and disconnecting their devices from it.
Okay so let’s begin, so first we need to open a terminal of backtrack. To do that, just click the little icon that’s on the right side from System. Please see the image below:

 STEP 1:
Type the command-    airmon-ng
This  command displays our interfaces.In my case I have wlan0, and now we are going to put it into monitor mode.

STEP 2:
Type-  airmon-ng start wlan0.
As you can see on the picture below it says (monitor mode enabled on mon0), and we are going to be using mon0 instead of wlan0 as our interface.

STEP 3:
Type airodump-ng mon0 and that will start scanning for wi-fi networks. As you can see, there is a network called SKIDHACKER. Take a note of the BSSID the DATA, the CHANNEL and the type of ENCRYPTION. Please refer to the image below, if you have any trouble getting to that point.

 STEP 4:
Now we are going to set it to lock on a specific wi-fi network namedSKIDHACKER. To do that, type airodump-ng -c (channel) -w WEPcrack –bssid (bssid of the network) mon0. Replace (channel) with the channel of the victim’s network, and replace (bssid of the network) with the bssid of the victim’s network.
Okay so as you can probably see the data is going really slow, and we need to boost that up. We are going to need a lot more data, so let’s preform one of the aireplay commands that will boost that data.

 STEP 5:
Firstly, open up a new terminal and type aireplay-ng -1 0 -a (bsisd) mon0 where(bssid) is the bssid of the network. Now if your Wi-Fi card is supported, you should see Association successful :-), if you don’t see that then your card is not supported.

Step 6:
Now we are going to type in aireplay-ng -2 -p 0841 -c FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF -b (bssid) mon0. And now when the question Use this packet ? pops up, just push the letter y. And now as you can see in the image below, the data went high drastically.

 STEP 7:
Okay so now lets open a new terminal and we are going to attempt to crack it with the amount of data we have. I recommend getting over 20000 data before trying. So let’s type aircrack-ng WEPcrack*.cap. Replace WEPcrack with the filename you chose before when capturing the data, and don’t forget to add that asterisk after the file and the extension which is .cap.

 STEP 8:
And now it will attempt to get the password. Just wait a couple of minutes for it to complete, and once it did it will say KEY FOUND! [ XX:XX:XX:XX:XX] where the X’s will be random numbers and/or letters. That’s not it, now to connect you will need to remove the semicolumns. For an example, if we were to have12:34:52:66:59, the password would be 1232526659.
Just log in to your Windows OS, and connect using that password.

How to Find a Wireless Access Point IP Address

Ever go to someone else’s place and had to figure out the IP address of their wireless network so that you could change it’s settings? Most people setup their wireless networks right out of the box without any configuration and therefore have no idea what the IP address is.
If you’re already connected to the wireless network, then it’s really easy to figure out the IP address of the router. I’ll also explain ways we can get the IP address if you’re not connected to the router.
If you’re connected, go to Start, Run, and type in CMD. Then in the command prompt, type in IPCONFIG /ALL.

Scroll down till you get to the heading that has “Wireless Network Connection” in the name. The IP address of the wireless access point is the IP address that is listed for Default Gateway.
Now you can go ahead and type that address into your browser and you should be bought to the configuration page for the wireless router.
If you are not connected to the wireless router and want to find out more information about the device, then you have to use other tools to get the job done.
For example, let’s say you go to your school library and connect to the network via a wired Ethernet port, however, you know there is a wireless connection in the library, but SSID broadcast is turned off for security reasons. It’s basically an easy way to prevent people from connection to your wireless router.
In this type of case, you need a port scanner program to scan the current subnet that you are on to find all devices currently connected to the network, including the wireless router.
First, you should use a tool like NetStumbler to make sure the wireless network actually exists. NetStumbler is a program that can detect wireless networks even if SSID broadcast is turned off.
Just down and run it and it’ll give you a list of all the networks in your vicinity. Note that Windows cannot detect networks that have SSID turned off.

As you can see, it has detected several networks in my area. Now that I know the wireless network exists, we can figure out the IP address by using a port scanner. There are many port scanners I have written about before including Advanced Port Scanner and SoftPerfect Network Port Scanner.
With either program, you’ll get a list of all the hosts on the current IP range, including the MAC address and IP address.

If you still can’t figure it out, then you can get hardcore and use a network sniffer and packet analyzer toollike Wireshark. If there is a computer that is connected to the wireless router, you should be able to pick it up even via the wired network connection. Enjoy!

How to Boost and Increase Your Internet Speed

Need to increase your Internet connection speed/ There are a number of tweaks out there that will enable you to maximize your system’s performance and likewise, there are lots of things you can do to tweak your Internet connection to boost Internet speed. There are tons of them out there, but this article just lays out two of the most useful ones.
Tweak 1: Un-reserving bandwidth
By Default, XP reserves 20% of your bandwidth for it’s own use. This is a crying shame and should be undone immediately. To do this, you will not require any additional software, just follow the steps below.
  1. Access the Group Policy Editor. This can be done by typing gpedit.msc in the Run box (Start, and then Run). You will now be looking at something like this.

  2. Navigate to Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Network/QOS Packet Scheduler using the pane on the left side.
  3. In the left pane, there should be a Setting with the name Limit reservable bandwidth, right-click this and select properties.
  4. Now this might seem a bit weird, as the State will say “Not Configured” but Windows by default will reserve 20%. So the trick is to set it to reserve 0%. You can do this by clicking enabled and then setting the Bandwidth Limit % to 0. It should look like the image below.

  5. Hit OK then close the Group Policy Editor.
That’s it! You’re done with the first tweak. Just a quick side note here, there are lots of other little things you can change easily using the policy editor. Feel free to wander around!
Tweak 2: Optimizing TCP/IP settings
This next tweak is going to require a piece of freeware called SG TCP Optimizer. This nifty little utility will optimize the manner in which your PC sends and receives data packets, which will as a result speed up your connection. Though It is most effective for broadband connections, it works for just about any type of connection.
  1.  Download SG TCP Optimizer. You don’t need to install it, just double-click and it will run. Once you run it, you should be looking at this :

  2. That is quite an intimidating interface, but we won’t be touching most of it. Under the General Settings tab, just drag the slider to match your connection’s download speed. Then, at the bottom of the same window, select the “Optimal Settings” radio button and click “Apply Changes”.
  3. You will now be looking at a window like the one below.

  4. Make sure that the “Backup” tick box is ticked and then click OK.
  5. All that’s left is to reboot your system, in order to apply the changes. You will be prompted to do so.
  6. Once your system has rebooted, surf around for a while. If for whatever reason you feel your connection has been affected negatively, then fear not, for the changes you made can be undone. Start SG TCP Optimizer, click File and choose restore backed up settings. This will bring up a dialog box where you can navigate to where you downloaded the program. There, you will find a file with the extension .spg with a filename containing the date.
    For example If you applied the changes on the 21st of February “sg_backup_2008-02-21-xxxx.spg” would be the filename, where the xxxx is any number. Once you find this file select it and press open. This should bring to a dialog box similar to the one shown above. Click OK and reboot. Your original settings are now restored.

7 Wi-Fi Tweaks to Boost Your Speed

Chances are if you have a wireless internet connection at your home, you have had some trouble with the speed of the connection at least once before. That being said, a slow wireless connection can be frustrating to deal with. You are probably paying good money to your internet service provider, so slow speed is something you should not have to deal with, right? Well, the truth is wireless speed can be affected by a number of things. Luckily there are some Wi-Fi tweaks you can try that should help boost your speed and get you rolling in no time.

1. Reposition Your Router

The position of your wireless router plays a major role in the speed and strength of your wireless connection. If you are having trouble, you should try to reposition your router in a centrally located area, where the signal can equally reach each wireless device in your house. If your router is near an outside wall, try to move it closer to the middle of your house. Routers that are placed near outside walls can send some of the signal outside, which can risk your wireless connection’s strength and speed.

2. Purchase a Wireless Signal Repeater

Adding a wireless signal repeater to your home network can greatly increase the speed of your connection. A repeater works by extending your signal without having to add any additional wires. All you have to do is simply place the wireless repeater in a location that is between your router and your wireless device(s). It will instantly boost the wireless signal that is sent from the router to your devices, meaning faster speeds for you.

3. Install a New Antenna

Most wireless routers come standard with an omnidirectional antenna, meaning it broadcasts the wireless signal in a circular radius to reach various places in your home. If your router is in a perfectly centered location between all of your wireless devices, this is probably fine. But if your router isn’t perfectly centered among devices, you should think about replacing the existing antenna with a stronger one, known as a high-gain antenna. You can usually remove your old antenna and replace it with one of these stronger antennas to boost your signal strength, therefore increasing the speed of your connection. Another perk of a high-gain antenna is its ability to focus the wireless signal in any direction you prefer.

You may not think that using different brands of equipment can reduce the speed of your wireless connection, but in reality it can. If you use different brands of equipment, your components may not work as efficiently. These enhancements can boost speed, but will only work if products from the same manufacturer are used simultaneously. If you are using various brands of equipment and your speed is suffering, this is definitely worth a try.

5. Reduce Frequency Interference

Many household electronics, such as cordless telephones and baby monitors, run at the same frequency as wireless routers. This means that these electronic devices can interfere with the wireless signal that is being broadcast from your router, which can affect the speed and performance of your connection. Check the box of your router to see what frequency it runs at, and try to avoid using other electronic devices that operate at the same frequency. You can also try to change the channel on your router to avoid frequency interference.

6. Check for Firmware or Driver Updates Regularly

The manufacturers of wireless routers and network adapters often release firmware or driver updates that can improve the function of your wireless connection. You can find and download these updates at the manufacturers’ websites. Updates are usually done to fix issues, add features, and strengthen your equipment’s performance. Check for these updates on a regular basis to make sure your firmware and drivers are always kept up to date.

7. Secure Your Wireless Network

If your network is not properly secured, neighbors could be using your signal. This can reduce the speed of your connection because you are in a sort, sharing the wireless signal. The most commonly blocked websites include websites about pop culture, health, medicine, women, religion and politics. Access Blocked Websites at School, Work or Anywhere

There are many genuine reasons for which you might visit blocked websites at your school or office. Given below are the many ways you can use to regain access to the blocked website you wish to visit. 

1. Cache: Many search engines maintain a cache of web pages indexed by them. You can search for a website on Google , Yahoo! or Bing and click on the cached link that is given next to the result. To load the web pages more quickly, you can visit the text-only version.

2. Using Google Mobile Search: Google Mobile Search acts as a proxy which you can use easily. It removes all the CSS styling and JavaScript and presents a stripped down version of the web page to the user from it's own server. Due to this, the blocking software feels that you are visiting Google, whereas in reality, you are viewing the blocked website. It also breaks larger pages into many smaller ones. Go to Google Mobile Search.

3. To access a blocked website, you can enter the IP address instead of the URL in your browser's address bar. This can bypass most basic forms of website blocks. Although if the blocking software maps the IP address to the website domain, the website will still remain blocked. You can find the IP address of the website by pinging the website domain name in command prompt and noting its IP address. Execute ping www.tweakandtrick.com in command prompt to ping www.tweakandtrick.com.

4. Access Blocked Websites using Google Translate or Yahoo! Babelfish. You can also use translational services to get on blocked websites. To do so, enter a language different from the website in the 'From' field and English in the "To" field. You can also use this method to bypass software that block websites on the basis of specific keyword mentions. Just translate the URL you wish to visit in a different language to overcome the keyword block.

5. Proxy Websites: There are many proxy websites (anonymizers) which open blocked websites on their servers and present the data to you. This hides from the service providers the address of the website you are trying to visit. Few popular free ones include HideMyAssAnonymouse and KProxy.

6. Use RSS Readers for Accessing Restricted Blogs: All blogs syndicate their content via RSS feeds which you can subscribe to in web based RSS Readers like Bloglines to access blocked content. For example, the RSS feed of this blog is located at http://www.hackersunrise.blogspot.in

7. Use IP Address to Decimal Conversion: If you cannot access blocked websites, you can enter the decimal number of the URL's IP address to get access to restricted websites. Search Google for IP to Decimal + IP Address of the banned website and Google will convert it into decimal. Enter that into your browser's address bar and see if the blocked website opens.

8. Create a 2 layered Unblocker: Just go to Google Translate or Yahoo! Babelfish, open any proxy website inside it and then use that proxy website to access your blocked website. In this way, you can achieve two layered website unblocking.

9. TORTOR or The Onion Router is a free software that protects the privacy and security of its users by channeling data through multiple nodes so as to prevent the orginal data from being unscrambled. Although browsing through TOR is a bit slow, it is one of the most effective ways of bypassing restricted websites.

10. Nyud.net: To unblock blocked websites, just add nyud.net to their URL. For example, if this blog (www.tweakandtrick.com) is blocked, you can visit it by going to www.tweakandtrick.com.nyud.net.

11. Opera Mini Simulator: Opera offers a web based version of Opera Mini to allow users to get an experience of what it is like. You can use this demo version to access most websites that offer their mobile versions. Even websites that do not offer a mobile version can be viewed through this, although the quality of the results obtained may not be that good.

12. Changing DNS servers: A common way of blocking websites is preventing DNS servers from giving the locations of the blocked website's servers. In such a scenario, changing your DNS servers to OpenDNS's or Google's DNS will be your best option to get over the block. As an additional advantage, this will also increase your internet speed.

13. VPN Software: VPN or Virtual Private Network Software can be described as a tunnel under the public network that offers more anonymity than proxy websites as it also encrypts the data transferred by the blocked website thus, offering complete anonymity when you access your favorite web applications. Although most VPN software are available as paid software only, HotSpotShield is a popular free alternative.

14. IP Hiding Software: Sometimes, websites block users on a particular IP address from visiting themselves. In such cases, free IP hiding software like UltraSurf can be used to visit them. While free software offer very less features as compared to paid ones, they are still effective for overcoming most common blocks.

15. Edit your host files: Some malware and blocking software edit your host files and add a website's address to prevent you from visiting that website. In such a scenario, you can edit your host file with Notepad by visiting “C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc” if C is your system drive and remove that website. In Windows Vista and Windows 7, a warning from UAC might be displayed while editing your host files.
